The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has drafted an update to the onlot alternate technology (OAT) listing for Orenco Systems, Inc. AdvanTex units. Orenco AdvanTex units provide advanced secondary treatment for onlot sewage. The current classification listing, Alternate Technology # A2009-0001-0004, includes the use of several Orenco AdvanTex models. Orenco has requested that the model designations in the Department's listing be revised so that AdvanTex models no longer carry the suffix ''N'' consistent with the official National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International/American National Standards Institute 245 product listing for Orenco Systems, Inc. on the NSF website. There have been no changes to the units except for the model names. In the draft updated listing, the model names are presented in tabular format with the units' rated capacities for clarity. Additional updates include amending the number of service provider visits from two annually to two annually for the first 2 years and then one annually thereafter, consistent with NSF practices. The OAT listing number will also be updated. The current and draft updated OAT listings are available on the Department's website at www.pa.gov/agencies/dep/programs-and-services/water/clean-water/wastewater-management/act-537-sewage-facilities-program/ onlot-disposal-system/on-lot-alternate-technology-listings. Interested individuals may submit comments on the draft updated OAT listing through Monday,...
