Under IC 4-22-2-23, notice is hereby given that on January 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Garrison at Fort Harrison State Park, 6002 North Post Road, Indianapolis, Indiana in the Blue Heron Room, the Natural Resources Commission (commission), in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources (department), will hold a public hearing on rules added at 312 IAC 30 concerning the carbon sequestration project; specifically, involuntary integration and certificates of project completion. The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by the commission, in coordination with the department. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed new rules. If the commission, in coordination with the department, does not receive substantive comments during the public comment period or public hearing, the rule may be adopted with text that is the same as or does not substantially differ from the proposed rule. The public may attend the commission’s meeting in person or join by https://www.in.gov/nrc/rules/rulemaking-docket/. Copies of these rules are now on file at the Natural Resources Commission, C/O Department of Natural Resources, Legal Division, 402 West Washington Street, Room W255-A, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
