The changed Notice of Public Hearing appears below: Notice of Public Hearing Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on February 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners (board) will hold a public hearing on adding, amending, and repealing rules at 820 IAC 1.5, 820 IAC 2, 820 IAC 3, 820 IAC 4, 820 IAC 5, 820 IAC 7, 820 IAC 8, and 820 IAC 10 concerning: (1) licensing; (2) sanitary and equipment requirements; (3) beauty culture schools; (4) tanning facilities; and (5) barber schools and shops. The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to consideration of adoption of these rules by the board. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed rules. This notice is the second of two (2) public hearings in which the public may comment on the proposed rule. Following the second comment period and this public hearing, the board may adopt a version of the proposed rule that is the same as or does not substantially differ from the text of the proposed rule published in the Notice of Second Public Comment Period.
