Summary

Under IC 4-22-2-37.2, the Governor has given the Natural Resources Commission, in coordination with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, approval to publish an Interim Rule concerning the hunting of bobcats and increasing the statewide season quota of bobcats. Pursuant to the provisions of IC 4-22-2-37.2, the Governor has reviewed the proposed interim rule that temporarily adds a regulatory structure to regulate the hunting of bobcats and increase the statewide quota of bobcats in 312 IAC 9-3-18.1, which you recently submitted. The Governor hereby finds, pursuant to IC 4-22-2-37.2(b)(2) and IC 4-22-2.3-3 that the proposed interim rule is necessary in order to make changes to the rules before the 2026 hunting season starts. The Department of Natural Resources may proceed with the interim rules proposed in its submissions.

The Governor hereby finds, pursuant to IC 4-22-2-37.2(b)(2) and IC 4-22-2.3-3 that the proposed interim rule is necessary in order to make changes to the rules before the 2026 hunting season starts.
