Summary

Under IC 4-22-2-37.2, the Governor has given the Department of Financial Institutions approval to publish an Interim Rule concerning adjustments to multiple dollar amounts in consumer lending. Pursuant to the provisions of IC 4-22-2-37.2, the Governor has reviewed the proposed interim rule that temporarily indexes for inflation various dollar amounts in 750 IAC 1-1-1, which you recently submitted. The Governor hereby finds, pursuant to IC 4-22-2-37.2(b)(3) and IC 4-22-2.3-6(1)(B), that the proposed interim rule is necessary in order to adjust the dollar amounts as prescribed by the legislature before final rules can take effect. DFI may proceed with the interim rules proposed in its submissions.
