Summary

The Department of Agriculture (Department) announces the program requirements and application period for grants under the Pennsylvania Agricultural Product Promotion, Education and Export Promotion Matching Grant Program (Program). The Program is authorized under the General Appropriation Act, Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027 budgetary appropriation to the Department for agricultural product promotion, education and exports. (Act 1A of 2026 (July 12, 2026)). The Program is administered under 7 Pa. Code Chapter 105 (relating to Pennsylvania Agricultural Product Promotion Matching Grant Program Statement of Policy). The Department intends to make available up to $393,363.36 from FY 2026-2027 funds and waivered FY 2025-2026 funds for grants under the Program. 1. Program objectives. (a) Purpose. The Department will award matching grants to eligible nonprofit organizations engaged in market research, development or promotion to reimburse up to 50% of the cost of projects intended to: (1) Research market opportunities for agricultural products grown, raised or produced in this Commonwealth; (2) Educate producers and consumers with respect to market opportunities for agricultural products grown, raised or produced in this Commonwealth; or (3) Promote the growth and development of domestic and export markets for agricultural products grown, raised or produced in this Commonwealth.
