Summary
The Oklahoma Water Resources Board proposes amendments to the Oklahoma Administrative Code, Title 785, Chapter 35, to increase the Indemnity Fund and per well expenditure cap amounts as required by Senate Bill 1314 and to modernize the standards for qualified experience required to obtain a well driller or pump installer license. These rule changes allow the Board to better meet the needs of citizens of the state with regard to the ever increasing cost of remediating the problems caused by improper drilling practices and to ensure that drillers and pump installers have the experience and base level of competency needed to construct safe, protective water wells in Oklahoma.
