The proposed adoptions of 11 NCAC 14 .0507-.0508 intend to establish consistent standards by which prospective applicants may demonstrate "successful conduct of business" and provides the agency with a uniform framework for evaluating foreign insurers' operating history and financial condition for licensing purposes. Session Law 2025-46, Part 1, eliminated prelicensing education course requirements for insurance producer applicants to be eligible for licensure in North Carolina. The proposed repeals of 11 NCAC 06A .0701-.0705 and amendments to .0808 and .0811 remove such prelicensing requirements and preserve continuing education requirements for insurance producers licensed in the state.
