Summary

This executive order postpones the expiration of select rules established by the Board of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) under 888 IAC 1.1 by one year. These rules cover the following areas: The executive order maintains the current veterinary standards that would otherwise expire January 1, 2027. This may minimally increase workload for the Office of Attorney General (OAG) to continue to investigate complaints related to violations of these standards, and for the BVM to hear cases brought by the OAG. The executive order may minimally increase fine revenue for the BVM related to violations of the rules set to expire under 888 IAC 1.1. Fine revenue is deposited into the General Fund.
