COMMENT:ANewYork State professional association representing speech-language pathologists stated that they strongly support the proposed regulation. They believe this proposal “maintains high standards for professional practice while removing unnecessary barriers that can delay or discourage qualified practitioners from entering the New York workforce.” TheAssociation notes that the amendments will create a more straightforward licensure process by recognizing supervised experiences completed in accordance with the American Speech-Langauge Hearing Association and by providing greater flexibility for applicants completing their supervised experience on a part-time basis.
