DATE AND TIME: Friday, October 9, 2026, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (CT) PLACE: DeFuniak Springs Community Center, 361 N. 10th St., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 Subject: The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is holding a public meeting to gather input from stakeholders about flathead catfish in Panhandle rivers. The meeting will provide an opportunity for interested stakeholders to share their perspectives and provide feedback to FWC staff regarding this nonnative catfish species and its presence in northwest Florida river systems. Public participation and stakeholder input will help inform the FWC’s understanding of perspectives surrounding flathead catfish in the region.
