These proposed rule amendments would revise the application of adopted NFPA standards and editions in OSFM rules that reference individual certification requirements; update and clarify individual certification requirements; add a new certification for Community Risk Reduction Practitioner; streamline the OSFM's administrative process for establishing or revising certification standards; account for the change in the software program supporting certification documentation; make changes to the examination process to account for return to agency-administered exams; require 100% attendance for course completion; eliminate the automatic 90-day grace period for recertification and clarify the process and allowances for extensions on a case-by-case basis; and make other minor updates and clarifications.
