pa-56-37-1333: Redesignation of the Area Agency on Aging for planning and service area 51 (Potter County); notice of intent and public hearing

Summary

The Department of Aging (Department) is hereby publishing this notice of its intent to redesignate the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) responsible for Planning and Service Area (PSA) 51, the area previously served by the Potter County Area Agency on Aging. This notice is due to the Department's acceptance of Potter County AAA's voluntary relinquishment of its designation on July 22, 2026. The Department temporarily redesignated Cameron, Elk, McKean AAA (Office of Human Services, Inc.) as the AAA responsible for administering services in PSA 51 on an interim emergency basis. The Department will host a public hearing within PSA 51 to afford the public an opportunity to provide testimony regarding the Department's intent to redesignate. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. in the Gunzburger Building, 1 North Main Street, Coudersport, PA. At this public hearing, the Secretary of the Department will provide information regarding the redesignation of Potter County AAA and the public will have an opportunity to offer testimony.
