Summary

Senate Bill 26-023, “School Finance Act” requires the State Board of Education to adopt rules regarding the eligibility and procedural requirements for certification of part-time programs for homeschool students. This new ruleset is intended to develop eligibility and procedural requirements for certification of part-time programs for homeschool students for the 2027-28 school year and beyond, including criteria and quality standards that address accountability and transparency, and also reporting obligations for local education providers as are reasonably necessary.
