Rule 7.8, Sports Betting Reports; Betting Revenue; Computation of Taxes; Reconciliation, is being amended to comply with the passing of H.B. 25-1311. Effective July 1, 2026, sports betting operators and internet sports betting operators may no longer deduct free bets placed by players when calculating net sports betting proceeds. The amendment removes the current language in Rule 7.8 that permits these deductions and ensures the rule aligns with the statutory requirements.
