Phase 2 of SR 534 is a 3.5-mile section of the 14-mile expressway that will support the current and projected travel needs in Southeast Orange and Northeast Osceola counties. SR 534 will also be a critical component of a future regional network of expressways, known as the Southern Beltway, serving Orange, Osceola and Polk Counties. Construction of the 8.4-mile section of SR 534 between SR 417 and Cyrils Drive is expected to begin in 2027 and is anticipated to partially open to traffic in 2030. All 14 miles of SR 534 are anticipated to be fully completed by 2032. Once complete, SR 534 will help relieve congestion on local roadways, support evacuation and emergency response, and enhance regional connectivity in this fast-growing area.
