What this rule does

The proposed rule amends the process for setting salaries when an employee is demoted, clarifying that their pay will be adjusted according to the lower salary range as determined by the employer. Additionally, it allows employees with two or more years of service in their previous position to retain their higher salary rate if it falls within the new lower range.
