Summary
The Secretary of State's intent is to tighten up enforcement of remittance agent license requirements by ensuring that persons who are delivering, picking up, or receiving transactions on behalf of another person or entity either work directly for that person or entity, which would not require that person to be a licensed remitter, or that they be licensed as a remitter if they are in fact acting as a remitter and being paid independently for remitter work while conducting transactions with the Secretary of State. This rulemaking will allow the Secretary of State to request verification of employment with the person or entity or to provide evidence of their license as a remitter.
