What this rule does

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE RULES STATE HOUSE ANNEX 25 CAPITOL STREET, ROOM 234 CONCORD, NH 03301 Rulemaking Notice Form Notice Number: 2026-168 Rule Number: Lan 100

1. Agency: Board of Land Surveyors

Agency Address: Board of Land Surveyors c/o Office of Professional Licensure and Certification 7 Eagle Square, Concord, NH 03301

5. (a) Summary of what the rule says and of any proposed amendments including

whether the rule implements a state statute for the first time: The Board of Land Surveyors (Board) is seeking to bring the Lan 100 rules into alignment with current processes. RSA 310:1 directs the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC) to be responsible for the recordkeeping, business, and clerical responsibilities of the boards listed under RSA 310:2, II. The Board is listed in RSA 310:2, II(r). Since the OPLC is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Board, many of the definitions currently in the Lan 100 rules do not apply or there are outdated references to duties the Board used to have under RSA 310-A:53 through RSA 310-A:74. The changes to the rules are in alignment with the current statutory framework. These rules do implement a statute for the first time per RSA 310.
