The State Transportation Commission (Commission), the Department of Transportation (Department) and the Commonwealth's Metropolitan Planning Organizations and Rural Planning Organizations announce the availability of the Commonwealth's adopted 2027 12-Year Transportation Program (TYP). The TYP is the Department's official mid-range planning tool, which lists Statewide planned projects across all modes of transportation and assigns funding over a 12-year period. Pennsylvania State Law, Act 120 of 1970, requires the Department to prepare, update and submit the Commonwealth's TYP every 2 years to the Commission. The Commission adopted the 2027 TYP on August 5, 2026. View the TYP to see the transportation projects that are planned in this Commonwealth over the next 12 years. The Commonwealth's 2027 TYP is available in a digital format and can also be viewed in PDF format at https://talkpatransportation.com/how-it-works/typ. Individuals who have other questions or challenges should contact the Department's Bureau of Workforce and Business Opportunity to request help by emailing RA-penndoteoreports@pa.gov or calling (717) 787-5891, TTY (711).
