The proposed rule changes include adding definitions, updating references to a previously revoked title, and correcting scrivener's errors. The amendments also address the prioritization of reservations, allowing the Director to adjust or preempt them for unforeseen events. Additionally, changes to the cancellation policy clarify the refund of reservation and equipment fees based on the timing of a sponsor's cancellation. The rulemaking action also adds a provision to the inclement weather policy allowing the Office to decline the use of equipment due to weather and revises the provisions for events and exhibits to prohibit campaign-related signage and promotional material for public office candidates. Finally, a new rule addresses the use of drones and other specific items.
