Summary

This rulemaking action adds a definition for Information Technology Surplus and makes other minor changes throughout the rules. The proposed rule changes are necessary to address that information technology surplus is considered a special class of surplus property and is disposed of through a third-party supplier to ensure compliance with applicable requirements. Furthermore, the rule revisions allow the Office of Management and Enterprise Services to retain an administrative fee for individual items sold for $5,000 or more. It also, revokes a previous rule regarding the transport and delivery of surplus property to reflect current processes. Finally, the revisions strike a rule concerning the disposal of scrap metal to align with the Oklahoma Scrap Metal Dealers Act.
