Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 112 has been updated to change the term "minor" to "individual" when referring to patients receiving medical treatment in a licensed healthcare facility. This change broadens the scope of the legislation to include not just minors, but all individuals, thus ensuring that the protections and regulations apply to a wider range of patients. This matters because it clarifies that the bill's provisions are designed to safeguard the rights and welfare of everyone, regardless of age, who is receiving medical care in such facilities.
