The amendments to Bill SB 331 replace the terms "career and technical schools" with "vocational-technical schools," reflecting a shift in terminology to align with current educational standards. Additionally, the effective date of the law has been moved from January 1, 2020, to January 1, 2019. These changes are important as they aim to clarify the types of educational institutions covered by the bill and ensure that the legislation is in effect sooner, potentially benefiting more students and schools more quickly.
