Plain-language change summary

House Bill 221 has added a new section that clarifies the process for showing amendments in context, which helps lawmakers understand changes better. It also adjusts the assessment requirements specifically for students in kindergarten through second grade in New Mexico’s public education system. This is important because it reflects a focus on more relevant and potentially less stressful evaluation methods for young students, aiming to enhance their learning experience.
