The recent amendment to SB 129 updates the New Mexico Work and Save Act by adding clearer definitions and providing greater flexibility for the New Mexico Work and Save Board in implementing the program. It also clarifies that the Board and its members are not liable for the program's outcomes and extends the timeline for launching the new retirement plans. These changes are important because they aim to enhance the program's effectiveness and protect both the board and participants.
