The amended version of SB 32 introduces a new title, the "Wildlife Conservation and Public Safety Act," and includes specific definitions related to the act, such as what constitutes "bona fide scientific research" and details about "cage traps." These changes aim to clarify the bill's focus on protecting wildlife and ensuring public safety by regulating traps, snares, and poisons used in wildlife management. This matters because it establishes clearer guidelines for both conservation efforts and legal compliance in handling wildlife, potentially reducing harm to animals and improving safety for humans and pets.
