Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to House Bill 74 focus on voting rights, specifically the repeal of rules that automatically canceled voter registrations after a felony conviction. This amendment ensures that individuals with felony records can maintain their voting rights, which is significant for promoting inclusivity in the electoral process and reducing barriers to participation in democracy. By removing these cancellation rules, the bill aims to support reintegration into society for those who have served their sentences.
