Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Senate Bill 182 mainly involve clarifying the definition of the crime of threatening a public official. Specific language has been added and removed to better outline the consequences of such threats and the scope of the law. This matters because it aims to strengthen the protections for public officials and ensure that threats made against them are clearly identified and penalized appropriately.
