The recent amendments to SB 242 update provisions for reviewing grievances against the Children, Youth, and Families Department related to substitute care. These changes include better defining terms, modifying confidentiality requirements for records, and altering reporting requirements. This matters because it aims to enhance transparency and accountability in how the department handles cases, ultimately improving the care and support provided to children in these situations.
