Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 280 now specify that the funding from severance tax bonds will be used for both planning and construction to complete Paseo del Norte Northwest in Bernalillo County, as well as widen the roadway to four lanes instead of just two. This change is significant because it suggests a more extensive improvement to the road, potentially easing traffic congestion and supporting better access in the area. By expanding the roadway capacity, the project aims to improve transportation efficiency and enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians alike.
