The latest version of House Bill 195 includes a few important changes. Notably, the penalties for violating the tobacco product regulations have been adjusted, removing the specific mention of both administrative and criminal penalties. This shift focuses the bill more on creating a system of licensure and regulation for tobacco retailers rather than detailing the potential consequences for violations. By doing this, the bill aims to streamline the regulatory framework around tobacco sales, which could help improve public health measures in the state.
