Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 254 adjust the funding calculations for school districts that implement a public school capital improvements tax and include charter schools in those regions. Specifically, the changes create an additional distribution of funds to help support these schools. This is significant because it aims to provide more financial resources for essential capital improvements, which can enhance the quality of school facilities and educational resources for students. Additionally, the bill removes an outdated section of law, ensuring that the legislation remains relevant to current needs.
