The amended version of House Bill 446 now includes a reference to "dual-licensed instructional support providers" in its framework for licensure in New Mexico schools. This change is significant because it recognizes and integrates additional support roles into the existing three-tier licensure system, which may enhance the qualifications and effectiveness of educational support staff. By acknowledging these professionals, the legislation aims to improve educational outcomes for students by ensuring that a broader range of qualified personnel is available in schools.
