Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of House Bill 253, the total amount appropriated for the statewide higher education and workforce career pathways program has been clarified to be $11,493,000. However, the specifics on how the funds are to be used have been removed, including references to the Santa Fe community college and the SUN PATH consortium program. This change matters because it broadens the potential use of the funds, allowing for more flexibility in how the program can support workforce development across various regions and institutions in New Mexico.
