The changes to Bill HM 67 include the addition of specific information about the requirements for older adults when renewing their driver's licenses in New Mexico. This bill now emphasizes the need for a working group to explore best practices for issuing driver's licenses and state identification cards to seniors. This matters because as the population of older adults driving increases, it’s important to ensure that policies are safe, fair, and considerate of their unique needs.
