The recent amendments to Senate Bill 503 include the addition of two new sections to the Uniform Probate Code. These sections clarify how a power of appointment can be exercised through a general clause in a will, particularly when there are no specific references required. This change is important because it helps simplify the process for individuals who create wills, making it easier for their intentions regarding property distribution to be understood and fulfilled without additional legal complexities.
