Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 48 introduces a new act called the "Student Diabetes Management Act," which aims to improve diabetes management for students and school staff. It includes definitions related to diabetes, diabetes care personnel, and establishes the framework for creating a diabetes medical management plan for each student affected. This matters because it ensures that students with diabetes receive appropriate care at school, which can significantly impact their health and educational experience.
