Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HM 88 includes a clear request for the Public Education Department to form a task force focused on assessing how the planned closure of the San Juan generating station might impact the Central Consolidated School District's funding. The original version had less detail regarding the situation and omitted specific mention of the bond repayment issues linked to the generating station's operations. This change is important because it highlights the need for a proactive plan to ensure the school district can continue to meet its financial obligations, especially given the anticipated loss of property tax revenue.
