The amended bill HB 84 now allows individuals applying for or renewing their driver's licenses and ID cards to be automatically registered to vote, removing the previous requirement for their consent. Additionally, it specifies that certain employees from the motor vehicle division will assist applicants with the voter registration process. These changes aim to streamline voter registration and make it easier for eligible voters to register, which could increase voter participation.
