The amendment to SB 18 added a section that states $3 million will be appropriated from the public project revolving fund to support local government planning initiatives. This funding will help cover costs related to infrastructure, water projects, and other long-term planning efforts. Additionally, any unspent funds will not revert back at the end of the fiscal year, meaning local governments can rely on this money for ongoing projects without the fear of losing it. This change matters because it provides financial stability for local governments to effectively plan and implement essential community projects.
