The updated bill SB 181 has made a few important changes regarding the definition of "interior design." It clarifies what activities fall under the responsibility of licensed interior designers, emphasizing their role in creating detailed drawings and specifications. This is significant because it streamlines the licensure requirements and allows professionals to use a seal or stamp, which can enhance their credibility and the integrity of their work. Overall, these changes aim to improve the regulatory framework for interior designers in New Mexico, making it easier for them to operate while ensuring a high standard of professional practice.
