The updated version of Bill HB 367 introduces a scholarship program aimed at encouraging individuals to pursue careers in engineering and surveying in New Mexico. This program will offer financial support for education and training to those who commit to working in the state, with a total annual budget of up to $100,000. This change is significant because it aims to address workforce shortages in these professions by attracting and retaining local talent, ultimately benefiting New Mexico's economy and infrastructure.
