Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 117 adds an appropriation of $1.5 million from the public project revolving fund specifically for wastewater system financing, which is intended to support projects under the federal Clean Water Act. This funding will aid in constructing and improving wastewater facilities in New Mexico, essential for maintaining clean water and public health. Additionally, it ensures that any unused funds at the end of the fiscal year remain available for future projects, rather than reverting back to the overall fund. This change highlights the state's commitment to enhancing its wastewater infrastructure and environmental quality.
