The recent amendments to Bill SB 151 included changes to the Local Economic Development Act, specifically highlighting the requirement for qualifying entities to report job creation after receiving public support. Additionally, the amendments refined the language in the New Mexico Taxpayer Bill of Rights, ensuring that taxpayers receive clear rights regarding their tax information. These updates are important because they aim to enhance transparency and accountability in how taxpayer funds are utilized and how taxpayers are treated during tax processes.
