Plain-language change summary

The amended bill simplifies the reporting requirements for settlements of human rights claims by changing how information is organized. It now focuses on providing a summary of the claim and the state agency involved, while keeping the identities of individual claimants confidential. Additionally, the timeline for when a claim must be reported has been clarified, ensuring that it is documented only after all legal processes are completed. These changes aim to enhance transparency around public spending on settlements while protecting individual privacy.
