The new version of Bill SB 280 adds specific details about how unspent funds from capital projects are managed, particularly regarding their reversion dates. It now states that any funds appropriated for projects that match federal grants will revert six months after the project's completion. These changes are important because they clarify the timeline for returning unspent money to the state, which can help ensure that funds are used efficiently and that unneeded balances don’t linger, promoting better financial management.
