The amendments to House Bill 441 clarify that bonuses for lottery employees and vendors will now depend on how much revenue from lottery ticket sales goes into the Lottery Tuition Fund. Additionally, the new text specifies that unclaimed lottery prizes will also be allocated to this fund. Furthermore, the prohibition has been extended to include "pay at the pump" and certain automated teller machine devices that sell lottery tickets. These changes are significant because they aim to ensure that funds are more reliably directed toward education and restrict certain types of gambling that may not align with the state's objectives.
