Plain-language change summary

The amendment to House Bill 73 clarifies that New Mexico seeks to exempt itself from the federal requirement of observing daylight saving time. This change emphasizes the state's preference to remain on standard time year-round. This matters because it could have implications for daily life, business operations, and scheduling, making it easier for residents and businesses to plan without the disruptions that come with changing the clocks twice a year.
