The updated version of Bill SB 397 now includes a provision to ensure that the names, addresses, and other personal identifying information of lottery winners are kept confidential. This means that winners can remain anonymous, protecting their privacy after winning a lottery. This change matters because it addresses concerns about safety and unwanted attention that winners may face if their information is publicly disclosed.
